The 12 specs every packaging RFQ should include
The goal is not to make the RFQ complicated. The goal is to remove assumptions. If the supplier knows what is going inside the package, how many units are needed, how it prints, and where it ships, the quote can move faster and the recommendation is more likely to fit the job.

Separate unknowns from requirements
Buyers do not need to know every packaging answer before asking for a quote. It is fine to say that the board grade, flute, insert style, or poly gauge is unknown. What matters is separating true requirements from open questions. For example, "must pass parcel shipment with a 4 lb product" is a requirement. "Probably ECT-32" is an assumption that may or may not fit.

For printed packaging, send vector logos and editable artwork when possible. For structural work, send product dimensions and photos from multiple angles. For protective packaging, include current damage patterns, shipment route, and how the item is packed today.
